Austrocylindropuntia subulata ‘Eve’s Needle’ is a fast-growing, upright cactus recognized for its tall, cylindrical green stems and distinctive awl-shaped leaves that emerge near the stem tips. Native to the Andes of South America, it has a bold, architectural form that makes it a striking accent in cactus and succulent collections. Small spines line the stems, adding texture without overwhelming its appearance. Highly adaptable and drought-tolerant, this cactus thrives in bright light and well-draining soil, and with maturity may produce vivid red flowers, adding seasonal interest to its dramatic silhouette.

If there is a risk of freezing temperatures, they can be moved indoors to a sunny window or under a grow light.
